Why Used Car Evaluation Service?
After much deliberation, you have finally decided on which car to buy, but how can you be sure that you have made the right choice? How can you ascertain the true worth of the car?

It is vital to look beyond the surface appearance. A polished, gleaming car is no assurance that it had not been driven to the ground. To ensure that you are getting good value when buying a used car, send the car for a professional and unbiased appraisal before purchase. Armed with impartial facts, you would be better informed on your intended purchase.

What is the difference between a Used Car Evaluation Service and a preliminary inspection?
Whether you are buying the car from an owner or a dealer, we recommend that you use our Used Car Evaluation Services.

We do conduct preliminary used car inspections, but these are performed on cars re-sold to dealers and they are not as thorough as the car evaluation services we provide for buyers. The preliminary used car inspection is superficial and merely gives a guide to the dealers on the general condition of the car.

On the other hand, our Used Car Evaluation Services is a detailed assessment of the car's condition and employs sophisticated equipment to identify signs of damages not visible to the naked eye.
We place great emphasis on our comprehensive road tests as they accurately determine the car’s road holding condition as well as the engine and transmission performance. As these are two very essential and expensive parts to replace, we want to help you ensure that they are in good working condition.

Not only do we evaluate the used car at great length, our devoted team of proficient technical consultants are able to discuss any defects, indicate any rust spots or panel repair, and furnish you with additional information to help you make a good purchase.
You will receive a full assessment report of the car's condition. This report is fully recognized and accepted by government bodies and financial institutions.

How can I use the report?
AA's primary objective is to give you a full picture of the car's defects so that you can make an informed purchase decision. You can also use the report to ask for a price reduction, or request the seller/dealer to repair the significant defects before purchase. Either way, your benefits far outweigh the nominal evaluation cost.

What if the seller/dealer refused to have his/her car evaluated?
Having a used car evaluated before purchase is a very common practice, and the seller/dealer should oblige to your request. As such, do not be put off by excuses from the seller/dealer. Be wary if the seller/dealer does not consent to one. He/she may be hiding some information from you. Some dealers may claim that the car has been evaluated but may be referring to the preliminary inspections.

Who should decide where to send the used car for evaluation?
As a rule of thumb, the buyer should be the one to decide where to send the car that he/she intends to buy for evaluation. Be wary if the seller insists on sending the car to their recommended evaluation centre/workshop as this might be disadvantageous to the buyer.
