Policy
Free roadside assistance service is only rendered for cars

Tow service

assistance is essentially the provision of restart service
to members. In the event that the vehicle cannot be re-started
under roadside conditions, free towing will be provided. Vehicle
will be towed to workshop of member's choice.
Members
are required to bear any car park fees incurred by the recovery
crew in the course of attending to their vehicles.
Members,
or their appointed representative, are required to accompany
the tow truck. This is to facilitate ease of locating the
workshop as well as to minimise any misunderstandings relating
to damages to the vehicle or missing items etc.
Direct
towing (straight tow) is provided free-of-charge if the breakdown
symptoms clearly indicate that workshop attention is required
(except in the case of accident vehicles for which a towing
fee is chargeable).
If the
member insists on straight tow but in the opinion of the Call
Centre staff, the car problem could be handled by a mechanic
based on the breakdown symptoms reported, a towing fee is
chargeable.
For breakdowns
on expressways, including slip roads, free straight tows will
be provided for safety reasons irrespective of cause of breakdown.
RAS will
