In Singapore, road accidents are becoming more common. The Traffic Police have reported that more people are getting hurt in traffic accidents in 2021 as compared to 2020. In recent months, news of vehicle fires has also made headlines in Singapore. It is therefore imperative that more drivers on the road should know how to quickly react to urgent situations such as vehicle fires and road accident injuries, and to remember to give way to emergency vehicles, so as to not delay crucial response time and possibly saving lives.
The AA Emergency Preparedness on the Road event aims to help educate drivers on key safety topics such as the appropriate actions that drivers can take during emergency situations that they encounter on the road like e.g. handling vehicle fires, the importance of giving way to emergency vehicles as well as providing drivers with vehicle maintenance tips on how to reduce the risk of fire.
Through the half-day event, drivers will be equipped with the knowledge of core lifesaving skills and essential emergency procedures with practical hands-on opportunities conducted by the instructors.
