Automobile Association of Singapore and Yeap Transport Pte Ltd Announce Signing of Memorandum of Understanding

2 December 2022, Singapore – The Automobile Association of Singapore (AA Singapore) and local school bus management company, Yeap Transport Pte Ltd are pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), that builds on the mutual interest between both organisations on the areas of road safety and service standards.

The MoU will remain in effect for an initial period of one year and supports the partnership between AA Singapore and Yeap Transport and helps to strengthen collaboration in raising road safety and service standards for the local motoring community and transport industry in Singapore.

The signing of the MoU will take place on 2 December 2022 at AA Centre, 2 Kung Chong Road. Representing the organisations to sign the MoU are Mr Lee Wai Mun, Chief Executive Officer of AA Singapore, and Mr Adrian Yeap, Chief Executive Officer of Yeap Transport Pte Ltd. Staff from AA Singapore and Yeap Transport Pte Ltd will be present to witness the MoU Signing Ceremony.

The MoU establishes a joint agreement between AA Singapore and Yeap Transport Pte Ltd and highlights the shared commitment of the two organisations to collaborate and promote road safety through curated post basic safety training for professional drivers and fleet safety management training for Yeap transport employees, to upskill and uplift Yeap Transport’s drivers and employees who are largely mature workers.

Past collaborations between both organisations to advocate road safety included various campaigns and outreach programmes such as the ‘Share the Road’ Seminar organised in 2021.

Mr Lee Wai Mun, CEO of AA Singapore said, “We are pleased to extend our partnership and collaboration with Yeap Transport Pte Ltd, which will allow AA Singapore to deepen our road safety advocacy efforts. The Association will continue to work with our local transport partners and leverage on our expertise on post basic professional training and fleet safety management training that will improve on the safety culture and drivers’ behaviour whilst at work.

Mr Adrian Yeap, CEO of Yeap Transport added, “We are delighted to have the opportunity to partner AA Singapore to enhance the safety of our bus captains via skills-based training through AA Singapore. The international standards adopted by AA Singapore’s training would enhance the lifelong learning journey of our bus captains and ensure they are apprised of the constantly evolving defensive driving, road safety best practices. I hope this would enhance the peace of mind among our riders, school administrators and parents on Yeap Transport’s commitment to road safety with AA Singapore”
